Welcome to scenic Lighthouse Christian Retreat, Inc. (LHCR), a year-round, non-denominational Christian Conference and Retreat center in Virginia. It sits on 97.5 acres of beautiful Virginia rolling hills. At the Lighthouse, we show God’s love and concern for our fellow man at every opportunity. The Lighthouse was inspired by the Holy Spirit and purposed to exalt the Lord by offering a place of refuge for His people. This is a place to be restored, renewed, and refreshed and grow and encounter the living God. This vision was prophetically declared numerous times for decades and founded on Isaiah 58.
While on a fast, I was awakened with an open vision. As I opened my eyes, there was this book "Going Deeper with God" laying on my night table. God has a passionate desire to see His people go deeper with Him. The priority for His people is not our comfort, but our transformation. This process often takes place as we launch out into the deeper waters with multiple steps of faith where we step out and take greater risks in our faith walk.
God is calling us out of the shallow waters of life, where it seems safe, predictable and comfortable. He desires that we learn to live deeper rather than to the shallowness of our own mind, will, and feelings. As Christ-followers, we should be going deeper with God.
